License Accreditation Ceremony by Nigerian Government

On Thursday the 8th April 2021, at the National Universities Commission's (NUC) Headquarters presented license & accreditation to the newly approved Mewar University in Nigeria, making it the first Indian University to be successful in establishment of an Indian University in the African continent.

The license was presented by Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, The Executive Secretary of NUC, Abubakar Rasheed, The Deputy High Commissioner on behalf of the Indian High Commission in Nigeria along with various other dignitaries.

Also present in the ceremony, the founder and Chairman of Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Jim Ovia, who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries, appreciated the commission for the approval and pledged to keep to the mandate for the establishment of the universities.
